Join “The Oprah Winfrey Show” as it tapes its Season 24 Kickoff Party on Michigan Avenue on Tuesday, September 8, 2009. A crowd of thousands is expected to join Oprah for a fun-filled, star-studded season kickoff celebration taping, which will include a special appearance by three-time Grammy Award-winning group The Black Eyed Peas.

Admission is free and open to all ages. Minors should be accompanied by an adult. Doors will open at 12:00 p.m. CDT on Tuesday, September 8 at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Ohio Street, and space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Camping overnight will not be permitted. The taping will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m., rain or shine. Space is standing-room only for the approximately two-hour taping.

Attendees making a day of the production are encouraged to bring their own snacks and water. No food of any kind will be provided. Water stations will be available within the designated production area. There will be no seats provided or available for guests attending the show. No professional recording equipment is permitted.

Performing at the Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco, CA, Apl.De.Ap and Fergie joined DMB on stage and got Dave dancing like crazy during “Jimi Thing”! Watch below! They take the stage at about the 2:43 mark.

As you probably already know. BEP are doing some shows with the Dave Matthews Band as their opener. They’ve also hooked up for select tour dates in years past. So, this live collaboration shouldn’t be that much of a surprise.

The ‘Peas sat down with MTV, while at the Outside Lands Festival, to talk about DJ AM’s surprising death.

The ‘Peas still have the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100 chart locked down as they reach 21 straight weeks at #1! I thought that Miley Cyrus might catch them this week, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. I think she needs more airplay to topple “I Gotta Feeling” from its stranglehold on #1.

Muslims in Malaysia have been barred from attending a concert by U.S. hip hop band the Black Eyed Peas sponsored by Guinness which is owned by the world’s biggest spirits group Diageo.

The move comes after a Malaysian Islamic court sentenced a 32-year Muslim woman to be caned after she was caught drinking beer in a hotel and at a time when an opposition Islamic party has moved against beer sales.

Most consecutive weeks at the top of the charts thanks to the amazing runs of “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling”!

The Black Eyed Peas’ 20-week string atop the Hot 100 surpasses Usher’s run of 19 consecutive weeks achieved in 2004 with “Yeah!” and “Burn.”

On establishing the mark for longest successive stay at No. 1 in the Hot 100′s 51-year history, Peas member will.i.am commented, “With this kind of success your ego wants to take all the credit, but your heart reminds your soul that it was your heart that had you slaving and creating in the studio making the music; breaking through comfort zones and tradition. In the fight between heart and ego, my heart always wins.”

Fellow Pea Fergie added, “It’s an amazing feeling to know that these songs have connected with so many people who have kept them alive for so long.”

The Black Eyed Peas and Tim McGraw will jump-start the Steelers’ season with a free concert at Point State Park on opening night, Sept. 10.

Details are being worked out about other acts and when the big names will go onstage, although the headliners will certainly be part of the live pre-game simulcast from 8 to 8:30 p.m. on NBC and NFL Network. Kickoff for the Steelers-Titans game at Heinz Field is scheduled for 8:30.

The free festivities begin at 4 p.m. at Point State Park, which will have specific entry points for the public that night. An NFL spokeswoman said the NFL has been working closely with the city and the mayor’s office on those details.

The 2009 Teen Choice Awards aired tonight on FOX, and in addition to giving the audience a spirited performance, the ‘Peas also took home the Choice Music: Rap/Hip-Hop Track surfboard for “Boom Boom Pow”.

The movie Twilight will be the star of the Teen Choice Awards 2009 this Sunday in an event hosted by The Jonas Brothers with performances by Miley Cyrus and the Black Eyed Peas.

The Peas are up for Awards in the Choice Music: Rap/Hip-Hop Track and Choice Music: Album (Group) categories while Fergie is nominated for Choice Celebrity Dancer.

The Teen Choice Awards 2009 (TC 09), will air on Monday August 10th at 8pm EST on Fox.
